Post List

The postlist shortcode is overly used on our frontpage demos. It’s a quick and easy way to show the latest posts in a column layout. You can basicly choose any number of columns, as long as it can be devided over a 12 column layout. Choose a category (or none for all categories) and the number of posts to show. You can also select whether you’d like to include or exclude the image, title, excerpt and the read more button.

This shortcode is extremely flexible. If you place it inside a column shortcode it will automaticly resize to make use of the space it’s been given. Check the example below:

Shortcode: [postlist]

Creates a postlist with four columns.

Optional Parameters
  • category ( default: none )
    Restrict the post list to a given category or a list of comma separated categories
  • postcount ( default: none )
    The number of posts to show
  • columns ( default: none )
    The columns to split the posts into. Can be 1,2,3,4,6 or 12
  • showimage ( default: true )
    Enable or disable the post images
  • showtitle ( default: true )
    Enable or disable the post titles
  • showexcerpt ( default: false )
    Enable or disable the post excerpts
  • excerpt_length ( default: 55 )
    Modify the length of the excerpt. The maximum length is 55 words
  • only_with_images ( default: true )
    If set to true only images with featured images are retrieved
  • align ( default: center )
    set the text alignment to left, center or right
